We were lucky enough to get my mum’s 80th birthday party in before the pandemic hit. It was great fun, and we (as in me, hubby, and our twins) got to see family members that we never get to see from one year to the next. It was lovely, and didn’t we just take that kind of get-together for granted? Yeah, never again! It becomes apparent what’s important when the ability to see family is taken away from us, doesn’t it?

Anyway, here we are a year later and mum is now 81! Happy birthday! I’m also more grateful than I can say that my dad survived his brain hemorrhage and is here to celebrate with us!
